Essex born and bred, Nobby was a big county fan during the successful Graham Gooch era. After 30 years with the Navy, he resides in Hampshire and watches England playing at the Rose Bowl for both Test Matches and ODI’s. Nobby’s also looking to tour with England for his 50th Birthday celebration when they next play in the West Indies. His chosen prizes from Owzat Cricket included both the England Adidas 2011/12 ODI and Test shirts, an Oakley flak jacket, Gunn & Moore training shorts,
Kookaburra training trousers, a Greg Chappell sun hat, two pairs of Aspex Sunglasses,
a Kookaburra Apollo training top, a Kookaburra Minerva hooded top, Kookaburra Rogue 850 batting pads, Kookaburra Bubble batting shorts, Puma Calibre cricket shoes and a Readers County Supreme ball. Nobby said: ‘I am delighted to have won. It was a bit of a surprise to say the least! I’ve decided to help out a few friends who play by donating several items away, but I will be wearing my England shirts with pride on my next visit to the Rose Bowl.
