Tour Itinerary
Saturday 24th March
You will be met on arrival at Colombo International Airport and will transfer to Ahungalla by luxury air-conditioned coach. On arrival at the Heritance Ahungalla Hotel, check in and the rest of the day is at leisure. We will request early check-in for our guests, but it will not be guaranteed by the hotel. If you wish to pay for your room for the night of 23rd March to guarantee it is ready for you on your arrival, please let us know at time of booking.
Sunday 25th March
Day at leisure - to relax on the beach, by the pool or however you wish. Additional sightseeing and water-based excursions will be available directly through your tour leader or hotel.
You are invited to join your tour leader and the rest of your tour group for welcome drinks in the evening. This will be an ideal chance for you to get to know your fellow Howzat Travellers ahead of the first day of the first Test the next morning.
Monday 26th - Friday 30th March 
Each day after breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to Galle International Cricket Stadium to witness the first Test match between Sri Lanka and England. After each day's play, we will return back to the hotel.
Saturday 31st March & Sunday 1st April
Days at leisure - to relax on the beach, by the pool or however you wish. Additional sightseeing and water-based excursions will be available directly through your tour leader or hotel.
Monday 2nd April
After breakfast and a morning at leisure, transfer to Colombo by luxury air-conditioned coach. On arrival at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, check in and the rest of the day is at leisure.
Tuesday 3rd April - Saturday 7th April
Each day after breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to the P. Saravanamuttu Oval to witness the second Test match between Sri Lanka and England. After each day's play, we will return back to the hotel.
On the evening of Saturday 7th April - after the last day of the Test - join your tour leader and the rest of your group for a tour Farewell Meal.
Sunday 8th April
After breakfast / day at leisure, transfer to the
Colombo International Airport for your flight home, OR...

The excellent 'Best of Sri Lanka' four-day sightseeing extension can be added to the two-test tours above, so that instead of returning home on the day after the last day of the second Test, you will head off to see some of the most amazing sights that Sri Lanka has to offer, including the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, Sigiriya Rock, the Dambulla Cave Temples and the fascinating city of Kandy. You will then return home on 12th April.
You may wish to finish off your trip to Sri Lanka with a few days in the Maldives - the perfect 'sun, sand & sea' holiday destination. You can add a four-night Maldives extension to any of the two-test tours above, so that instead of returning home on the day after the last day of the second Test, you will head off to paradise for a relaxing end to your tour, returning home on 12th April.

Tickets are sold to you at the same price for which we purchase them. Howzat Travel does not make a profit on ticket sales to this event.
If you decide to obtain your match tickets through Howzat Travel, you will be invoiced separately for them. It is not compulsory to buy your tickets through Howzat Travel, however we strongly recommend you do to guarantee entry to the event and save you trying to obtain tickets when out in Sri Lanka.
