Excursion Itinerary

22nd December
Perth to Melbourne to Port Campbell, via The Great Ocean Road

Meet your guide in the hotel foyer and join your coach transfer to Perth airport for the flight to Melbourne.

Midday arrival in Melbourne and board your coach for the Great Ocean Road. Victoria’s world famous Great Ocean Road presents some of the most fascinating and diverse coastal scenery that Australia has to offer. Take an unforgettable journey along the world's most inspiring coastal drive. Follow its winding trail through the lush Otway rainforests, to the breathtaking, windswept drama of the Shipwreck Coast.

Travel via the world famous surfing spot, Bells Beach, before continuing onto the delightful village of Lorne. Take a stroll along the waterfront here, indulge in a little shopping, or just enjoy a coffee while breathing in the sea air.

Continue to Apollo Bay along the most spectacular stretch of the Great Ocean Road, where we head off via the koala-filled rainforest of the Otway Ranges and returning to Apollo Bay for overnight.

23rd December
Apollo Bay to Halls Gap
(Breakfast included)

This morning it is onto the magnificent Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. Perhaps get a birds-eye view of these spectacular rock formations by taking a helicopter flight from the Twelve Apostles Visitor Centre, a truly memorable way to experience this beautiful area.

Continue along the Shipwreck Coast through Port Campbell to London Bridge, the Bay of Martyrs and the Bay of Islands to Warrnambool, the largest centre in the region, visit Tower Hill State Reserve, a wildlife haven for kangaroos, koalas and emus, as well as hundreds of other Australian native species. Stop at Port Fairy before heading inland to Dunkeld, at the southern foot of magnificent Grampians National Park; continue north to Halls Gap in the heart of the Grampians National Park for overnight.

24th December
Grampians to Melbourne
(Breakfast included)

Explore the heart of the Grampians and stop at some select spots in this beautiful mountain range. If you’re feeling energetic, take a walk to the bottom of MacKenzie Falls; or perhaps the views from Reed Lookout, the highest point in the national park, will be more your style. Enjoy lunch in Halls Gap (own expense) before heading out east back to Melbourne, in order to arrive back in the city by early evening.
