Howzat Travel specialises in organising great value travel arrangements for cricket enthusiasts, whether you are a supporter looking to follow your team on their travels around the globe, or a player wishing to travel abroad and take on some local opposition.
Meet the team
Ian Kerr
 Ian - a huge England cricket fan - is the founder of Howzat Travel and has clocked up more air miles than the average person through watching England play cricket all over the world. He can also be found in the summer months slogging sixes (he wishes!) for local team Thorpe Arnold CC. Ian had the idea to start Howzat Travel after travelling to South Africa to watch England's Test Series in the winter of 2004, along with fellow director, Rob. Building the team around him, the business grew and Ian was able to quit his banking business development job in 2007 to manage Howzat Travel full time. Today, Ian heads up the team with his entrepreneurial drive and holds lots of the business' key relationships with travel partners and key cricket figures all over the world. He has also led many of our tours and is now a familiar face amongst England cricket supporters. He was in Australia for the whole duration of the Ashes, leading our Walkabout Tour, which took in all five Test matches.

Steven Eatherington
 Since graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 2001, Steve’s career has seen him occupy key marketing roles in organisations including a well-known broadcasting corporation, an online toy retailer and a large multinational specialising in data, software and consultancy. In his spare time, Steve can usually be found watching his beloved Nottingham Forest FC, or mountain biking or running through muddy Lincolnshire fields. He brings extensive marketing and communications experience to the team, looking after customer communications, marketing strategy and website content, whilst working with the rest of team on the strategic direction of the business. Steve has also led several Howzat Travel tours, and for the Ashes, headed up both our Sydney New Year Tour and our subsequent Twenty20 and ODI tour.

Martin Abbott
 Martin brings a wealth of financial expertise to the business, spending the majority of his career as Financial Controller for a group in the private education sector. He now provides the strategic finance function for Howzat Travel. Most of Martin's time outside his work is spent with his young family, although summer 2010 did see Martin play cricket for the first time; joining Ian to play for Thorpe Arnold CC... with varying degrees of success!
Robert Hall
 Rob studied at Loughborough University before pursuing a career in the property industry in the South East. He has been involved with Howzat Travel since it was founded and the business has benefitted hugely from his experience of legal contracts, tendering and general business acumen. A keen sportsman, Rob is currently spending any free time he has training for, and taking part in triathlons and has recently also set up a traithlon club in his local area. He has also led previous Howzat Travel tours.
Des Newton
 Des is a familiar and popular face in sports tour circles, having led cricket and rugby tours to all corners of the globe for many years. Des joined the Howzat Travel team in 2011 heading up our tour to India. In 2012, he will lead our tours to the UAE, Sri Lanka and India.
