As well as the usual big-name ex-England players and media favourites for the upcoming Ashes tour, we have also enlisted some of the greatest players to wear the baggy green to entertain our guests down under!
Regular Howzat Travellers will know we always bring you the very best special guests on tour. In recent years these have included the likes of Michael Vaughan, Paul Farbrace and Geoffrey Boycott to name but a few Englishmen, while Sir Garry Sobers recently joined us in the Barbados, Sir Viv Richards in Antigua and Graeme Pollock was a special guest in South Africa!
For this Ashes Series, we have managed to set up several fantastic events and special guests, and are delighted to announce three of these, including a batsman, bowler and a wicket-keeper from some of Australia's greatest ever teams...
In Brisbane, 'Mr Cricket' Michael Hussey will be giving a Q&A to our lucky guests taking in the first Test.
One of the country's greatest wicket-keepers Ian Healy will be joining the tour in Perth for a Q&A session.
Howzat Travellers in Sydney for New Year's Eve and the fifth Test will have the esteemed company of Glenn McGrath at the tour farewell dinner, which will once again be hosted at the stunning Dockside in Darling Harbour!
Futhermore, Howzat Travel is proud to announce that we have partnered with the McGrath Foundation as our official chaity partner for the Ashes Series - in the 10th anniversary year of the 'Pink Test' in Sydney! There will be numerous events and opportunities for our Howzat Travellers to get involved.
Following England's 2015 Ashes home series success, this younger, 'new era' England side will travel to Australia, aiming to build a new dynasty under Trevor Bayliss and give the loyal travelling fans plenty to cheer.
The first Test will return to Brisbane’s Gabba before the Adelaide Oval will play host to the first ever Day/Night Ashes Test. The series will move to Perth for the last ever Ashes test at the WACA, then to the traditional Boxing Day Test and New Year’s Test in Melbourne and Sydney respectively.
As the UK's Number One England cricket supporters' tour operator, Howzat Travel will provide the best tour group experience and travel arrangements, whilst delivering excellent value for money as usual.
In late 2016 we travelled around Australia inspecting and cherry-picking the best (and best value) hotels available. We then returned in mid-2017 to confirm the finer details of the tour, so we can provide a full range of tour packages with accommodation, match tickets and sightseeing options to cover every budget.
We can guarantee the most choice, the best value and the most flexibility when it comes to your Ashes cricket tour. In addition to our comprehensive range of set tour packages, we will also be able to provide tailor-made arrangements for any combination of matches and sightseeing you desire.
