The New Zealand tour will take in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd tests in Hamilton, Wellington and Napier. Once again there will be some great excursions on days when there is no cricket.

Depart on the 2nd of March 2008 at 2115 from London Heathrow. Touch down in Hong Kong, and arrive in Auckland at 1045 local time on the 4th of March.
The return journey will depart on the 27th March from Auckland at 2300 and will touch down in Los Angeles, arriving at London Heathrow at 1040 local time on the 28th March.
Tue 4th March 1045: Arrive Auckland / Hamilton
Arrive at Auckland International Airport on Flight NZ038 and board your tour coach for the 90-minute road journey to Hamilton.
Travel from Auckland along State Highway 1, the main state highway connecting Auckland with the south, passing over the Bombay Hills, where market gardens supply home and export markets.
Travel through some of New Zealand's richest farmland in the Waikato Valley and continue along the east bank of the Waikato River, the country's longest river.
Pass through the coal-mining town of Huntly, and Ngaruawahia - home of the Maori King, before arriving in Hamilton, New Zealand's largest inland city with a population of 130,000.
Our accommodation is located 10 minutes walk from both the city centre and the 1st Test venue of Seddon Park. There will be a welcome dinner at the hotel.

5th to 9th March: 1st Test Cricket at Seddon Park, Hamilton
Each day will consist of a cooked breakfast at the hotel, followed by a walk to Seddon Park to attend the 1st Cricket Test between England and New Zealand.
Mon 10th March : Hamilton / Rotorua (110kms)
After breakfast at the hotel we will depart Hamilton by coach, travelling south-east through dairying and horse stud farming properties to the township of Cambridge which is noted for being particularly English in nature.
Follow the Waikato River past Lake Karipiro and across the bush clad Mamaku Ranges to Rotorua in the heart of New Zealand's famous thermal region.
Our hotel is located in the central city on the shores of Lake Rotorua

11th March: At Rotorua
Breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a day at leisure in this popular tourist town set on the shores of Lake Rotorua.
Suggested optional extra activities include the geysers, mud pools and maori carving school at the Whakarewarewa, and the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute; Rainbow Springs trout and wildlife sanctuary; the entertaining Agrodome sheep show; a scenic flight by floatplane or helicopter over the 8-kilometre long volcanic rift of dormant Mt Tarawera, or to the active offshore volcano of White Island; trout fishing; golf; bathing in a hot thermal spa pool; shopping; a visit to the Rotorua Museum; or a stroll through one of the parks and gardens near the city centre.
For those who would like to take part we are looking to organise a friendly Twenty20 game against a local pub team!
12th March : Rotorua / Wellington (460 kms)
After breakfast at the hotel we will Depart Rotorua and travel through vast pine forests to Taupo on the shores of Lake Taupo, New Zealand's largest lake.
En route we will see the fascinating geothermal borefield at Wairakei and the spectacular Huka Falls on the mighty Waikato River.
From Taupo continue south across the Tongariro Volcanic Plateau, pass the volcanoes of Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe then travel south through the Mangaweka Hills and across the Manawatu Plains, then down the pretty Kapiti Coast to New Zealand's capital city built on the hills around a magnificent natural harbour.
Our hotel is located in trendy Oriental Bay just 5 minutes walk from the cafes and bars of Courtney Place, and 10 minutes walk from the 2nd Test venue of the Basin Reserve.

13th to 17th March: 2nd Cricket Test at the Basin Reserve, Wellington
Each day will consist of a cooked breakfast then a walk to The Basin Reserve to attend the 2nd Cricket Test
Tue 18th March: To be spent at your leisure in Wellington
After a cooked breakfast at the hotel you will have a day at leisure in New Zealand's Capital City
19th March: Wellington / Taupo (via Mt Ruapehu ' 450 kms)
Following breakfast at the hotel, this morning we will travel north on SH1 through Wellington's northern suburbs and up the coast. On a fine day you can see the South Island and nearby Kapiti Island.
Time permitting, we have been recommended a visit to Southwards excellent vintage car collection at Paraparaumu.
Travel through Bulls and the small farming townships of Hunterville, Mangaweka and Taihape before turning west at the army town of Waiouru. Here, turn left to Ohakune and travel through the Kariori Forest to National Park and on to Whakapapa on the slopes of Mount Ruapehu. This is a major winter ski resort and in the summer months it is also popular with hikers and climbers.
Some of the scenes from the award winning Lord of the Rings film trilogy were filmed here. Drive up the summit road to the 'Top 'o the Bruce' for spectacular panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we will travel across tussock terrain and through forestland around the shores of Lake Taupo to the township of Taupo on it's northern shores.

20th March: At Taupo
After breakfast at the hotel you will have a free day for your own choice of tours and activities. There is much to see and do in this popular resort.
Among your options are half or full day guided trout fishing with all tackle, licence and transportation supplied by a local guide, golfing at the Wairakei International Golf Course - which is one of New Zealand's finest. There are also lake cruises, kayaking, sailing, jet boating, scenic flights, tandem parachuting, hiking and bungy jumping.
21st March: Taupo / Napier (143kms)
Breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a two hour drive east from Taupo across the Kaimanawa Ranges to the Hawkes Bay region. This is an important sheep and cattle farming area with fruit and vegetables on the river flats.
Napier was devastated by an earthquake in 1931 and was rebuilt during the period when Art Deco Architecture was fashionable.
The area is also one of New Zealand's top grape growing regions with some of the country's best-known wines coming from the Hawke's Bay.
Your accommodation is located near the centre of the city and just 7 minutes walk from the 3rd Test venue of McLean Park. The afternoon can be spent at leisure.

22nd to 26th March: 3rd Test at McLean Park, Napier
Each day will consist of breakfast at the motor lodge, then a walk to McLean Park to attend the 3rd Cricket Test
Thur 27th March: Napier / Auckland / Depart ( 410kms )
Breakfast at the motor lodge will be followed by a bit of time at your leisure until...
Depart Napier. On the final day today we will drive inland and over the Kaimanawa Ranges to Taupo on the shores of New Zealand's largest lake.
Continue north on State Highway 1 through the forestry and farming townships of Tokoroa and Putaruru.
Turn right at Tirau travelling to the thoroughbred horse-breeding centre of Matamata and crossing the fertile Hauraki Plains over the Bombay Hills before descending to Auckland Airport.
Arrive Auckland International Airport and check in for your departure flight from New Zealand. Pay NZ $25 Airport Departure Tax.
Depart Auckland on Flight NZ002 for Los Angeles and then London.
